Our work creates partnerships between refugee families and faith groups and community groups to establish self-sufficiency for these amazing families relocating here to the United States. This is done by providing the necessary resources and tools for volunteers to empower refugees for long term resettlement success.
Home for Refugees partners with groups in areas where refugees have been settled by the United States government. We form partnership teams, which we call Home Teams, who play an integral role in helping refugees become self-sufficient and get off to a strong start in our country.
Initially Home Teams help set up the refugee family set up their new home, access public benefits, find doctors, enroll children in school, facilitate job searches, and perform other necessary tasks. As refugees become more adept at navigating our systems, the Home Teams transition more to coaches, helping families recognize the resources that are available to them in order to get a good start in their resettlement.
Many groups have already answered the call to help refugees resettle in the United States. Home for Refugees looks forward to partnering with your group in the meaningful work of refugee resettlement!

By opening your doors and your hearts to refugees, you are responding to the greatest humanitarian crisis of our time. We hope that you will discover the rich blessing many other faith groups and community groups have experienced in the challenging yet meaningful work of creating home for a refugee family. There is no greater joy than to make a life-long impact and bless a family who has arrived with so little, by helping them regain so much.
